About us

Grow OT Therapy is a client-centred private business providing individualised mobile and potential for clinic-based services for children and adults throughout South Australia including the northern, southern, eastern and western suburbs. The Occupational Therapist is accountable to the Director/Senior Occupational Therapist for the provision of assessment and intervention services for Grow OT Therapy clients and families which aims to optimise health outcomes. This entails one on one therapy delivered in families home environment, schools, childcare centres and in the community to best support clients and families to achieve their goals. The Occupational Therapist applies clinical experience, clinical knowledge and professional competence of a predominantly paediatrics caseload and a good understanding of NDIS to plan, implement and evaluate comprehensive and integrated services to the needs of clients of Grow OT Therapy. The Occupational Therapist works under direct clinical supervision from the Director/Senior Occupational Therapist. The Occupational Therapist ensures all documentation and reports is consistent with service policy and practice.

The Role

In this role, you will:

  • Work with a mixed caseload of predominantly paediatric as well as young people and adult clients, presenting with a range of disabilities including autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, intellectual disability, physical disabilities etc.

  • Manage assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation of children and adult occupational performance outcomes.

  • Complete comprehensive documentation, Occupational Therapy evidence-based assessments, functional capacity assessments and NDIS reports.

  • Work in a variety of settings within the community consisting of client’s home environment, community centres, childcare centres and schools.

  • Actively collaborate closely with stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes for clients and their families.

Requirements

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and with AHPRA registration.

  • A Working With Children's Check (WWCC), Police Check, Child Safe Environments (CSE) and Reporting Abuse and Neglect (RRHAN-EC) masterclass certification.

  • Minimum 2 year’s experience.

  • Previous experience working with children and adults.

  • Previous experience and knowledge of NDIS including completing detailed and comprehensive NDIS reports, functional capacity assessments, documentation and Occupational Therapy evidence-based assessments and reports.

  • Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with and support children, adults, families and staff.

  • Excellent written skills to complete a range of occupational therapy assessments, documentation, reports and interventions.

  • Exemplary time management and organisational skills.
